The Inaugural Issue of Bulletin of Karaganda University (p-ISSN 0142-0843) was released. It was founded as a quarterly scientific journal in two series: "Natural Sciences Series" and "Humanities Series", and was intended to publish the results of scientific research by teachers, staff, and students of Karaganda State University named after E.A. Buketov. |

The journal was divided into 9 Series and Bulletin of Karaganda University. Chemistry Series (p-ISSN 2518-718X, e-ISSN 2663-4872) as one of them was included in the List of titles recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the publication of the main results of scientific activity |

A cooperation agreement was signed between Karagandy University of the name of academician E.A. Buketov and the non-profit corporation Publishers International Linking Association, Inc. (PILA) doing business under the Crossref brand. Since that time, articles of the Bulletin of Karaganda University. Chemistry Series began to receive DOI (Digital object identifier). The journal's Google Scholar profile was created with the aim of promoting and popularizing its publications in the popular search service, which includes data from most peer-reviewed online journals of the largest scientific publishing houses in Europe and America. |
